As we all tend to do a little reflecting this time of year, so has super CAP collaborator Amy Ferris. The talented writer of last year’s reading, and upcoming production, “Marrying George Clooney” (staring our very own Eliza Ventura), has taken to her blog and offered up some very kind words abour her work with CAP21. See what she said HERE!
Show Me Paint The House.
It’s Official. Our black box theater is finally Black. The construction crew over here on 18th street took to their scaffolding and step ladders, and with paint rollers in hand, took the big empty space on the 5th floor one step closer to becoming our new theater space.
You know, sometimes, the right chair can make all the difference.

Show Me Sand The Floor.
The floors have been installed in the new studios on the 5th floor, and sanded down. They looks fantastic. Things are really coming together!
Eliza is giving away 2 free tickets to our March production of “The Daughters”, and the clue to winning them is hidden in next week’s reading of “Rebel Girls”, on Monday, Nov. 11.
The “Rebel Girls” character Charlie has a 2nd name. Hear what it is at the reading on the 11th, and post it on CAP21’s Facebook page. The 1st person to do so will get...

Hey, remember the Writer's Co-op?
You thought I forgot all about it, didn’t you? Of course not! The two-week session ended on June 18th and I was lucky enough to get the scoop on each team’s project.
- Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair finished revisions on Murder For Two (which they worked on in January) just in time for its upcoming debut at the Adirondack Theatre Festival in July. They also started working on a...

Happy Tuesday!
It’s officially summer! We’re working on so many exciting things this week - here’s a peek:
Cloaked starts its last week of performances today. I finally saw it last week and so can officially vouch for its awesomeness. The hype is true - the music is GREAT and the blend of instrumentation is so powerful in The Shop. The acting was excellent - I was exhausted by the range...

More audience feedback!
Here’s a response from Friday night’s show:
I’m kind of a jaded theater goer; I see a ton of stuff and can be pretty critical. I went with a friend, and didn’t know anything about this production. I wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed “Cloaked” but I especially want to mention the Act I song about word associations between [the character] November and the...

The first Cloaked comments...
After the official opening of Cloaked last night and our first call for feedback, I have a short and sweet (but great!) comment to share:
Jeff says: “Katie Thompson [as Janice] is fabulous - do not miss this performance!”
I’ve also been hearing a lot of buzz about how awesome the music is. One of our staff even overheard someone in the lobby say it had the best musical score...
